Film Fervor: Episode 78 – Chris Cordova

On today’s episode, I spoke with filmmaker Chris Cordova about his upcoming project Hotline-666 and his future plans for his career as a filmmaker. Chris has an unbelievable energy when it comes to creative storytelling and has worked with some pretty big names in the industry, through music videos, skate videos and commercials.

Hotline-666 is a horror story that sets a lonely and frustrated teenager on a terrible path when he picks up the phone to a sex-chat line and finds a little more than he bargained for. After all, if someone told you that you could have your wildest fantasies come true for the mere price of your human soul, wouldn’t you consider it? Who needs a soul anyway?

Currently Chris is in the funding phase of his project and he is using Kickstarter to pick up some funds and to offer some swag to his fans along the way. Although the campaign is almost halfway over, Chris is certain that no matter the outcome of the campaign, he will make this film and he will do it his way.

Ultimately, that is the pioneering spirit of the true indie filmmaker: To pull yourself up by your bootstraps, stop making excuses and start making movies.

I really look forward to seeing what he has in store for us and I’m excited to see Hotline-666 come to life.
