Matthew has struggled with making films and getting things off the group in the film making career. As with most independent filmmakers, he tells us about the struggle of building an audience around his film and how he tries to use social media and film festivals to grow awareness about his film.

So, for A Dark Souvenir the content life of Frieda and John Golden begins to spoil after they return from their honeymoon in Scandinavia. They experience fits of illness and memory loss, and share the same visions of a faceless, hooded figure present in their home. The couple struggles for a return to normalcy as something seems to be pushing its way into their life. An explanation may come from pictures they took while visiting an old island fort outside Copenhagen, the Trekroner Søfort. The newlyweds must figure out what they’ve brought home with them before their sanity completely unravels, and before the sinister presence is fully born into their reality.
