Specifically, she coaches child actors and helps them hone their careers and skills for their futures. Her professionalism carries over through all aspects of her coaching career, giving them experience and teaching them how to behave on set and what the methods are required in order to build their reels. With her short film, Failure Groupies, she’s been able to bring it into over 17 Film Festivals and continues to grow and build the community around the film as well as building an amazing following for the young actors who are involved.
I personally learned quite a bit about working with child actors and how the whole process works. When I first started, I honestly had no idea that there were so many requirements to have children on a film set and that the process of introducing them to the industry is both difficult and rewarding.
Rosalie speaks about how once the child learns how to act for film, she has to turn around and educate the parents as well. There are permits, doctors and school documents that need to be addressed as well as dealing with the parents and their time frames as well.
I really enjoyed speaking with Rosalie about the film and I look forward to seeing how she continues to grow the exposure of the film and the future work she’s going to release.
